Community Conversations Event with Barry Teeling

Thank you to all those who attended our Community Conversations Village update earlier this month.  Barry Teeling’s presentation link is below for those who missed the event.

Presentation –

Community Conversations Village Presentation 16072025

Below is a series of Q&As from the evening for your information.

Q – What are the plans for the Theatre?

A – A recent structural report has determined that the Theatre is currently unfit for purpose. Mulpha is looking into the best way forward as Health and Safety is our top priority. We will keep residents informed and provide updates on any plans as soon as further information becomes available.

Q – Sanctuary Cove Security Reports are no longer received from Sanctuary Cove Security; these were previously emailed monthly. Why has this stopped?

A – Following an enquiry with the Body Corporate, we’ve been advised that these reports are under review with PBC. Any updates on these reports will be circulated via the PBC. If you have any further questions, please contact the Body Corporate office directly.

Q – What are the long-term plans for the Country Club and Gym facilities?  There are rumours it will be demolished for further development, is this correct?

A – No, this is not correct. Mulpha has no plans to demolish the Country Club or Gym facilities. In fact, significant plans and budget have been allocated for a major refresh and upgrade. This will include a full repaint and refresh throughout the Country Club, upgrades to the main Reception area, locker rooms, and lower ground floors, and enhanced wellness offerings such as hot and cold plunge pools under consideration. An Infrared Sauna will be introduced, and the male Steam Room will undergo a complete rebuild. These works reflect Mulpha’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality facilities for residents.

Q – Is there a link between the proposed Village Wellness Precinct and the Country Club?

A – No, there is no link between the two. They will be different offerings.

Q – What’s the status of the Fairways construction?

A – Construction on the land development is underway. In response to feedback from previous Resident Community Events, the plans have been updated to include additional parks, landscaping, and open spaces for everyone to enjoy. The construction is expected to take around 12 months to complete. We’ll keep you updated on progress through regular EDM updates.

Q – What is the status of Harbour One, the gate move, and Parkway Greens development?

A – Residents are expected to start moving into Harbour One in September. To enhance the look and feel of the area, additional landscaping is planned around the car park frontage for extra street appeal. The gates are scheduled to be completed by the end of September, and Parkway Greens is on track for completion in October.

Q – Why are Gallery Homes taking up retail space in the Village, they are a commercial office not a retail offering?

A – This is a temporary arrangement for Gallery Homes while we work on a more suitable long-term solution for them. We understand that having a commercial offering in this space isn’t ideal; however, Gallery Homes is an important tenant for the Village. They employ around 100 staff, many of whom support other retailers in the Village daily, making them a valuable part of our community.

We will continue to keep residents informed about any important activity, changes or upgrades at Sanctuary Cove via our monthly EDMs and future Community Conversation events.  Please encourage your fellow residents to sign up to this to database included in this monthly communication.
